Litchfield Park's November Starts on the City's Streets and Ends on The Wigwam's Lawns

"The festival is held in our quaint city next to the historic Wigwam Resort." That line comes from the City of Litchfield Park's own festival listing, describing of its 56th annual Art & Wine Festival. The city describes its biggest weekend of the year by where it sits relative to The Wigwam. That says a lot about how November works here. Every big date on this month's calendar happens within walking distance of the same historic resort. The city has the first part of the month and The Wigwam has the second.

This year the timing is tighter than usual. Litchfield's, The Wigwam's restaurant, sat out the summer for a renovation. It now shows nightly dinner hours again, just as the first festival crowd arrives. The calendar below runs in order, because one weekend leads into the next.

The city goes first, November 7 and 8

The 2026 Litchfield Park Festival of Arts, which the city's listing also calls the 56th annual Litchfield Park Art & Wine Festival, runs Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The festival takes over the city streets around Litchfield Square Park. Admission is free.

The city's listing promises more than 150 artists and names a few: painter James Lee, photographer Bob Gerz, jeweler Bill Duran and potter Roger Calhoun. There will be live jazz and blues, a wine garden pouring Arizona wines, and food vendors. The city adds that the festival "attracts thousands of visitors from near and far." In practice, the streets you use for a quick downtown errand will be full of foot traffic all weekend.

The parking details matter if you live close by. The 2026 listing says parking is free, along with admission. The vendor listing also sends artist trucks, trailers and RVs to the gravel lot north of the plaza businesses, entering from Village Parkway and Honeysuckle Street. Expect larger vehicles on Village Parkway and Honeysuckle Street around setup and teardown. For public parking locations, check the city's 2026–2027 special events page for updates before you head out.

For questions, the city's festival line is 623-935-9040.

Then The Wigwam takes over

Twelve days after the city festival closes, the art moves onto the resort grounds. Vermillion Promotions lists the Holiday Festival of Arts at The Wigwam for Friday, November 20, through Sunday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with free admission. The address is The Wigwam itself, 300 E. Wigwam Blvd.

Vermillion's page sets the two events apart. It describes the resort's grounds as "an open-air gallery." It lists original art, handcrafted gifts, décor, jewelry, sculpture and photography, plus live music and wine. The city festival comes earlier and fills public streets. The Wigwam's runs three days, starts later in the morning and is billed as the start of the holiday season. Some people will go to both. They should expect two different settings for the same kind of afternoon.

From there the resort's own holiday programming fills the rest of the month. Here's the full November sequence in order:

  1. Saturday–Sunday, November 7–8: Litchfield Park Festival of Arts around Litchfield Square Park, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  2. Friday–Sunday, November 20–22: Holiday Festival of Arts at The Wigwam, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  3. Friday, November 27: The Wigwam's tree lighting, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  4. Saturday–Sunday, November 28–29: The Wigwam's Christmas Design Institute workshops.

The Wigwam's holiday happenings page shows these dates with weekdays but no year. The weekday and date combinations match the 2026 calendar, but the page itself doesn't say 2026. Check it for confirmation, times and booking details as Thanksgiving gets close.

If those dates hold, the tree lighting lands the night after Thanksgiving, and the workshops fill that weekend. That puts three of the month's four big events on The Wigwam's grounds. The city's festival opens November, and the resort carries it into December.

The dining room at the center is back

Both festivals end at 5 p.m., right when dinner starts at Litchfield's. The timing is new this year because the restaurant spent the summer closed.

The Wigwam's renovation notice listed the closure as running from June 1 to September 30, 2026. It said the project would upgrade the bar area and promised a return in early fall. In June, What Now Phoenix reported that the renovation aimed to modernize the restaurant while keeping its character. No reopening date had been announced at that point.

The restaurant is booking again now. Its listing on The Wigwam's site shows these hours:

  • Dinner: daily, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Bar: Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Bar: Saturday and Sunday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The weekend bar hours fit the festival calendar well. On Saturday, November 7, the city festival closes at 5 p.m., and the Litchfield's bar has been open since 3 p.m. The same goes for the Saturday and Sunday of The Wigwam's festival, November 21 and 22. Reservations go through OpenTable from the restaurant's page, and the phone number listed is 855-855-7540. Festival weekends bring thousands of visitors to the city, so a dinner table at 5:15 on November 7 is worth booking ahead.

In August, this blog wrote about Litchfield Park's late summer with that dining room dark. Now the same restaurant reopens right as the city's two biggest November crowds arrive.

The road work that shares the month

The month has one complication. The festivals depend on Wigwam Boulevard, and Wigwam Boulevard has had construction crews on it since spring.

The City of Litchfield Park announced in May that Southwest Gas planned to start mid-month on a new gas line from Wigwam Boulevard running west along Indian School Road toward Cotton Lane. The Litchfield Park Independent reported that the project would take about seven months, with more work planned east on Wigwam Boulevard toward Litchfield Road.

The Independent's report gave this schedule:

Detail As reported in May 2026
Work days Monday through Saturday
Work hours 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Indian School Road Eastbound reduced to one lane during work hours
Wigwam Boulevard Westbound reduced to one lane during work hours
Turns Left turns restricted as needed
Access Business and resident access maintained

A seven-month job starting in mid-May would run into December. That means both Saturday festival days fall inside the project's schedule: November 7 for the city festival and November 21 for The Wigwam's. The Saturday work hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. also overlap with both festivals' hours. Crews may have moved by then. Look at the city's news page the week of each festival before deciding whether to drive in on Wigwam Boulevard or Indian School Road. For anyone who lives near the core, walking in could save a lot of trouble on either Saturday.

Planning the month from home

For people who live a few blocks from Litchfield Square Park, the month works out like this. The first weekend fills your streets with booths, music and the wine garden. The weekend before Thanksgiving moves the art onto the resort grounds. The Friday after Thanksgiving ends with the tree lighting at The Wigwam, and that weekend brings the Christmas Design Institute workshops. Dinner at Litchfield's is available every night of the month at 5 p.m. On both festival Saturdays, Southwest Gas crews may still be working on the roads leading in.

Some neighbors will host out-of-town guests that weekend. The Wigwam's festival on November 20 to 22 is free, runs three days and happens in one setting with room to stroll. That makes it the easier choice for a group with mixed schedules. For visitors who want a reason to walk the town itself, the city festival on November 7 and 8 brings them onto downtown's streets.
